Integrative, practical, and goal-oriented psychotherapy from a caring, experienced therapist.

Dr. Rachel Gotler is a licensed clinical psychologist who is committed to helping individuals and families improve their lives. She works with patients across the lifespan, helping them to manage anxiety and stress, build coping skills, and improve interpersonal relationships. Her compassion and authenticity enable her to form close therapeutic relationships with her patients and focus on treatment as a comfortable, collaborative process.  She values the therapeutic relationship as one of the most important tools in learning to better understand emotions and find a healthy balance between acceptance and change. 

Dr. Gotler earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in clinical psychology and child development from Tufts University and her Master of Science and Doctor of Clinical Psychology degrees from Long Island University, C.W. Post. After completing her pre-doctoral training at Nassau University Medical Center and Mount Sinai Medical Center, Dr. Gotler spent several years working in a private group practice on Manhattan's Upper West Side.  She has also served as middle school psychologist at the Ethical Culture Fieldston School.  Dr. Gotler lives in Manhattan with her husband and two children.
